Sca signage problems

We are a small SCA group with not a lot of members. Basically all the members are officers. So we obviously need to grow some and get new members. This is the leaders goal as well.

The local University is stocked full of those young minds who we are hoping to real in and make members out of. The leader and others have tried many times to get in with them. He even called and talked with someone who basically told him no. Others had the same response. So I made one email and was asked to do a Demo at the Dining Center in the next month. The leader said no, we didn't have enough time. So I told her we couldn't do it and we unfortunately burned that bridge and I doubt I'll ever hear from her again.

So I do investigation online and find out that everyone was talking to the wrong people to post signage and we really need to talk with another group. They even say they do allow outside group signage as long as they get approved from them. So I share the finding and start working on a flyer for us. The leader asked me to work on the flyer.

So as I'm staying up late one night to work on it he copy and pastes word for word my work from another two page flyer I had for Demos and put it on a sheet and called it done. It looks like crap. Obviously I didn't use those words but, it looks like crap. His font size is about 8 and the whole page is full of words detailing everything about the group.

So I've spent the last while trying to explain college students will not even be attracted enough to this sign to read it, let alone stop them. He said no, it was what we are using.

I just want to scream. I feel like it's a slap in my face. I find the place to go for signage approval, and he uses my own words without permission for his sign. I'm the youngest in the group and one of the only who went to college and work on a college for almost 10 years. Besides the fact that my husband did signage for a college campus for 5 years and had me critique his work at least weekly. By why the heck should I know anything of what I'm talking about?

I did make a sign that we could use, but even explained I think we need to have something completely different than both the signs that is geared toward the students.

It just pisses me off I went to the trouble to do research and make things and then we are wasting a prime opportunity.
